Biman extends Riyadh, Dammam flight suspension until November 4

Dhaka: Biman Bangladesh Airlines has extended the suspension of all flights between Dhaka and the Saudi Arabian cities of Dammam and Riyadh until November 4, citing ongoing attacks on airports in the Middle Eastern country.
A release from the airline on October 25 said the decision was taken in the interest of passenger safety.
Passengers who need to travel to Saudi Arabia or return to Bangladesh urgently may use King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah and Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah, the airline said.
In response to passenger demand, Biman has been operating two daily flights on the Dhaka-Jeddah route since October 16. The arrangement will remain in place until November 4.
Meanwhile, regular flights on the Dhaka-Madinah route continue to operate with Boeing 787 aircraft.
The national flag carrier said it will announce further decisions on the affected routes and updated schedules in due course.
Passengers can contact their nearest Biman sales center for ticketing and other travel-related information.
