British Airways resumes Dubai flights after eight-month break

Dhaka: British Airways has returned to Dubai International Airport (DXB) after an eight-month absence, with the first flight landing in the early hours of November 4.
The UK flag carrier will initially operate one daily service on the route. It plans to increase the frequency to twice daily during the summer season.
The outbound flight departs from Heathrow at 8:00 pm and arrives in Dubai at 7:45 am the next day. The return flight leaves Dubai at 10:00 am and lands in London at 2:55 pm.
British Airways also resumed flights to Amman, Jordan, on November 4, with four weekly services. Flights to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, will restart on January 11, 2027, with one daily service, down from the previous twice-daily schedule.
However, the airline will not return to Bahrain until the end of March 2027, while services to Abu Dhabi will remain suspended until the winter 2027/2028 season.
British Airways said it is constantly reviewing the situation in the region and is in touch with affected customers to offer them a range of options.
Since the beginning of the disruption, it has helped thousands of customers return to the UK by operating relief flights and adding capacity on key long-haul routes.
Meanwhile, Emirates and Flydubai have continued to operate wide-ranging schedules, while several other major international carriers are expected to return in the near future.
