Emirates Customers enjoy over 64 million chocolates every year

Dubai: To mark World Chocolate Day, Emirates has revealed that its customers enjoy more than 64 million pieces of premium chocolate every year—around four million more than last year—making chocolate one of the most anticipated highlights of the airline’s onboard dining experience.
Across its global network, Emirates also handcrafts approximately 26 million chocolate desserts annually for customers travelling in Economy, Premium Economy, Business, and First Class. Every year, the airline loads around 750,000 kg of premium chocolates onto its aircraft and uses nearly 260,000 kg of chocolate ingredients to create a wide variety of desserts.

Emirates partners with leading chocolatiers and premium chocolate manufacturers worldwide, sourcing cocoa from renowned regions in South America and Africa. Suppliers are selected not only for exceptional quality but also for responsible sourcing and sustainable production practices.
The airline’s culinary team designs chocolate desserts inspired by destinations and regional tastes. A team of 250 pastry and bakery chefs creates more than 120 different chocolate desserts each year, continually refreshing menus with seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Emirates has also recorded around 5% annual growth in chocolate consumption, with dark chocolate and salted caramel among the most popular flavours.
The chocolate experience begins before take-off in Emirates’ First and Business Class lounges, where passengers can enjoy an evolving selection of premium chocolate desserts and confectionery.
Each cabin offers its own signature chocolate experience—from Triple Chocolate Mousse Cake in Economy and Chocolate & Pistachio Mousse Cake in Premium Economy to refined chocolate desserts in Business and luxury creations in First Class. Emirates also serves a rotating selection of premium chocolates from renowned brands including Valrhona (France), Coco Jalila (UAE), Canonica and Neuhaus (Belgium), ensuring frequent travellers discover something new on every journey.
