Etihad unveils new A330 cabins

Abu Dhabi : Etihad Airways has unveiled a new passenger experience and cabin design under its "Beyond Borders" strategy, with the airline using its latest Airbus A330 interiors to showcase the changes.

The new A330, presented at Arabian Travel Market, features redesigned First, Business and Economy cabins and introduces a common design language that Etihad plans to extend across its fleet and premium facilities. The airline is also applying the concept to its A321LR aircraft.

Etihad said the new A330 will enter service in September 2027, with 15 aircraft expected to join the fleet over five years. Each aircraft will offer four First suites, 24 Business seats and 252 Economy seats.

The First suites will feature closing doors, 32-inch screens, wireless charging and dedicated storage. Business Class will offer fully lie-flat seats with direct aisle access, sliding doors and 17.3-inch screens. Economy passengers will receive 13.3-inch 4K touchscreens, charging facilities and fixed-wing headrests.

The airline said First Class will become a larger part of its fleet as new aircraft and retrofit programs expand the premium offering.

It is investing USD 20b in aircraft and customer experience.
