Jhinuk family marks World Tourism Day with beach cleanup in Cox’s Bazar

Employees and officials
of the Jhinuk family took part in the cleanup initiative as part of the day’s
observance. The organization also held an exchange meeting with people involved
in the local tourism industry to discuss issues and opportunities surrounding
the sector.
Touhid Belal, President
of the Cox’s Bazar District Press Club, attended the program as the chief
guest.
Rezaul Karim, a local
businessman and chairman of the Bangladesh Institute of Tourism Training and
Research (BITT), was present as a special guest. Other tourism-related
individuals also participated in the event.
Akkas Uddin, Managing Director
of Jhinuk Restaurant, chaired the program.
The organizers said the
activities were intended to encourage greater awareness of cleanliness and
responsible tourism in Cox’s Bazar, one of Bangladesh’s major tourism
destinations.
Beach cleanliness remains
an important issue for the coastal destination, which attracts visitors
throughout the year. Tourism businesses and local stakeholders have
increasingly emphasized maintaining the beach and surrounding areas to support
the destination’s appeal.
