Saudi Arabia introduces one-year multiple-entry Umrah visa
The new visa, announced
by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, remains valid for one year from the date of
issuance and permits multiple entries into the Kingdom. However, visitors may
stay in Saudi Arabia for a combined maximum of 90 days during the visa's
validity, with each entry subject to the country's immigration and travel
regulations.
The initiative is aimed
at making religious travel more convenient while supporting Saudi Arabia's
Vision 2030 strategy to enhance pilgrimage services and expand tourism.
The ministry said the
visa cannot be used during the annual Hajj season and will remain inactive from
the beginning of Dhu Al-Qi'dah until the 13th day of Dhu Al-Hijjah,
in line with existing pilgrimage rules.
Pilgrims must purchase an
approved service package for each trip through the government's Nusuk digital
platform, which also provides visa processing, accommodation, transportation,
and other pilgrimage-related services.
Saudi Arabia has
continued investing in digital services and infrastructure around the holy
cities to improve the pilgrim experience. According to official figures, the
Kingdom welcomed more than 931,000 Umrah pilgrims this year, representing a
22.5 percent increase compared to the same period last year.
