Turkish Airlines, DIU sign corporate travel agreement

Dhaka: Turkish Airlines and Daffodil International University (DIU) have signed a corporate agreement under the Turkish Airlines Corporate Club program to facilitate international travel and strengthen institutional cooperation.
İslam Güre, General Manager of Turkish Airlines in Bangladesh, and Dr. Nadir Bin Ali, Registrar of DIU, signed the deal on behalf of their respective organizations at the university's premises on October 14.
Professor Dr. M. R. Kabir, Vice Chancellor, and Dr. Masum Iqbal, Pro-Vice Chancellor of DIU, also attended the signing ceremony along with other senior officials from both organizations.
"The agreement will support DIU’s international academic engagements, official travel, and institutional partnerships, opening new opportunities for global collaboration," said a social media post from the university.
Güre said the airline was pleased to partner with DIU, adding that Turkish Airlines remains committed to supporting education, empowering students and academics, and creating more opportunities for global connectivity through such collaborations.
Turkish Airlines operates an extensive global network connecting 353 destinations across 133 countries in six continents through its Istanbul hub, while corporate tie-ups such as this one are part of the carrier's broader strategy to expand institutional partnerships in Bangladesh.
Under the Corporate Club program, member organizations’ staff become eligible for benefits such as special discounts and extra baggage allowances on international flights, among other privileges, as per the Star Alliance member.
