US-Bangla to hold blood donation campaign on June 14


Dhaka: US-Bangla Airlines, in collaboration with the Bangladesh Thalassemia Foundation, is organizing a voluntary blood donation campaign on June 14 at its corporate office in Uttara, Dhaka, marking World Blood Donor Day.
The initiative aims to promote humanitarian values, social awareness, and active participation in life-saving voluntary services. Employees from various departments of the airline have been invited to take part and contribute to the cause.
The event will begin with an awareness seminar from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Representatives from the airline's medical service team and the Bangladesh Thalassemia Foundation will lead the session.
Topics to be covered include the importance of blood donation, the necessity of ensuring a safe blood supply, and the critical need for regular donations for thalassemia patients. The discussion will also cover strategies to raise public awareness about these issues.
Following the seminar, the voluntary blood donation drive will take place from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. Participating employees are expected to demonstrate their commitment to humanitarian service and social responsibility through the initiative.
US-Bangla Airlines said regular voluntary blood donation not only saves lives but also plays a vital role in building a compassionate and responsible society. The airline reaffirmed its commitment to continuing participation in social welfare and community development initiatives in the future.
