Dhaka: The US Embassy in Dhaka has warned visa applicants that consular officers are aware of applicants’ past violations of US immigration laws and urged them to provide truthful information during visa interviews.
“Pay attention. Consular officers are aware of information about any past violations of immigration laws,” the embassy said in a social media post on October 3.
It urged applicants to “tell the truth” during their interviews, warning that providing false information could result in being barred from entering the United States.
The embassy did not provide further details in the post about specific immigration violations or the circumstances under which an applicant could be denied entry.
