Mohd Noor Ali, Managing Director of Unique Group receiving the Mother Teresa Int’l Award in Dubai on August 26
Dhaka: Mohd Noor Ali, Managing Director and Founder of Unique Group was awarded the 'Mother Teresa International Award' as recognition of his contribution as an industrialist and to the society. The award ceremony took place at the Conrad Hotel in Dubai on August 26, 2023.
The event was organised by the 'Mother Teresa International Award Committee' in collaboration with the 'All India Minority and Weaker Section Council'.
On the occasion, Mohd Noor Ali, Managing Director, Unique Group, said, "I am deeply humbled and honoured to receive this prestigious award, which bears the name of a true humanitarian icon Mother Teresa. This recognition underscores the importance of aligning business endeavours with social welfare, and I dedicate this award to the incredible team at Unique Group who have been instrumental in realising our shared vision."
Under Mohd Noor Ali’s leadership, Unique Group has successfully diversified into strategic business units, including the renowned Unique Hotel and Resorts PLC, which encompasses esteemed properties such as The Westin Dhaka, Sheraton Dhaka, and HANSA Premium Residence.
The award not only acknowledges Mohd Noor Ali's professional achievements but also highlights his dedication to uplifting marginalised and vulnerable sections of society, said Unique Group in a release.

Led by Mohd Noor Ali, Unique Group has been generating plenty of employment opportunities in the country.
Also, Noor Ali is involved in social welfare activities. He has established Noor Ali Family Trust (NAFT) and Salina Noor Charitable Foundation (SNCF). The later participates in charitable work and welfare activities.
It may be mentioned here, former Mother Teresa International awardees include Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Dr Manmohan Singh, among others.
