Bangladesh Travel Mart 2026 to begin on September 3

Dhaka: Bangladesh Outbound Tour Operators Association (BOTOA) will organize the first Bangladesh Travel Mart (BTM) 2026, a three-day event at InterContinental Dhaka Hotel in the capital starting September 3.
The organization said the event aims to build a strong position for Bangladesh on the international tourism map and strengthen the country's connection with the global tourism industry.
More than 130 exhibitors from 20 countries, including host Bangladesh, over a hundred tourism stakeholders, and around 15,000 visitors are expected to attend.
BOTOA President Syed Golam Mohammad shared the details at a press conference at InterContinental Dhaka Hotel on July 11. General Secretary Md. Shariful Islam Sharif, Senior Vice President Md. Mohsin Iqbal, Vice President AKM Kamruzzaman, and other directors were also present.
Syed Golam Mohammad said Bangladesh's tourism industry has entered a new phase of potential, driven by government policy support, private investment, improved communication systems, and expanding international connectivity.
The country's natural beauty, history, culture, archaeological heritage, and hospitality are increasingly drawing international tourists, prompting BOTOA to organize the event to present this potential globally, he added.
Md. Shariful Islam Sharif said BOTOA primarily represents Bangladesh's outbound tourism industry while also working to expand inbound tourism, attract international visitors, boost investment, and promote positive branding of the country abroad.
BTM's Chief Coordinator Md. Mohsin Iqbal said the event reflects that broader vision, bringing tourism boards, airlines, hotels, destination management companies, tour operators, and international buyers and sellers onto a single platform to connect Bangladesh's tourism industry with the global market.
Organizers said the fair will feature B2B and B2C activities in separate halls, with international hosted buyers participating through the B2B platform.
The B2B segment will feature buyer-seller meetings and business networking aimed at creating investment, market expansion, and international cooperation opportunities in the tourism, hospitality, and aviation sectors.
On the B2C platform, general visitors will be able to access domestic and international travel packages, air tickets, hotel bookings, visa services, and special travel offers directly from exhibitors.
