Harmony Festival Season 2 to begin in Sreemangal on June 19


Dhaka: The three-day Harmony Festival Season 2, showcasing the traditional foods, handicrafts, and diverse cultural heritage of the ethnic communities of Sylhet Division, will begin on June 19 at the Fulchhara Tea Garden grounds in Sreemangal, Moulvibazar. The festival will run until June 21, according to the Bangladesh Tourism Board sources.
The inaugural ceremony is scheduled to start at 3:00 pm on June 19. Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Afroza Khanam will attend the event as the Chief Guest, while Cultural Affairs Minister Nitya Roy Chowdhury, Civil Aviation and Tourism State Minister M. Rashiduzzaman Millat, and other distinguished guests are expected to be present.
Following the inauguration, invited guests will visit the festival stalls from 4:00 pm to 4:30 pm. A colorful cultural program featuring performances reflecting the traditions and lifestyles of ethnic communities will be held from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm.
Organizers said the festival aims to promote the rich cultural diversity of the region and create greater awareness of the traditions, cuisine, and crafts of indigenous and ethnic communities living in Sylhet.
