Hong Kong Airport Authority announces two senior management appointments

Dhaka: Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK), the operator of Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA), has announced two senior management appointments in an official statement on October 1.
The statutory body said Steven Yiu has been named Chief Operating Officer (COO), while Cissy Chan has taken up a concurrent role as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of IEC Holdings Limited. Both executives will report directly to AAHK CEO Vivian Cheung.
Prior to the appointment, Yiu served as the Executive Director of Airport Operations. As COO, he will lead the Airport Management Division and the Cargo and Logistics Division. His responsibilities will include core airport operations, safety, customer service, and cargo operation and development at HKIA.
Yiu joined AAHK in 1995 and became Executive Director of Airport Operations in 2022. He led the deployment of the world's largest autonomous airport vehicle fleet and the commissioning of the third runway and Terminal 2. He also serves as Vice Chairman of Shanghai Hong Kong Airport Management Co. Ltd. and was General Manager of Terminal at Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport from 2009 to 2012.
Chan, the Executive Director of Commercial since September 2012, will continue to head the Commercial Division, which oversees airport retail and HKIA's land and property portfolio.
IEC Holdings is an AAHK subsidiary that oversees the SKYTOPIA business. In her new role, Chan will lead its projects, including 11 SKIES, which aims to become a leading entertainment hub, and the Airport Yacht Bay, the largest facility of its kind in Hong Kong.
During her tenure, HKIA retained its position as the world's busiest cargo airport for the 15th time since 2010, according to the release.
Congratulating both executives, CEO Cheung said they have delivered outstanding results over the years and contributed to HKIA's worldwide recognition. She added that the expanded portfolios reflect the authority's full confidence in their leadership.
