MTB, DSCC sign agreement for digital collection of municipal fees

Dhaka : Mutual Trust Bank PLC (MTB) has signed an agreement with Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) to facilitate the collection of municipal fees and charges through the bank's cash management services.

The memorandum of understanding was signed recently at DSCC's Nagar Bhaban on Phoenix Road in Dhaka. Mohammad Mamun Faruk, Deputy Managing Director and Head of MTB's Wholesale Banking Division, and Md Khaibar Rahman, CEO and Managing Director (Additional Secretary) of DSCC, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.

DSCC Administrator and valiant freedom fighter Md Abdus Salam was present at the signing ceremony.

Under the agreement, DSCC will use MTB's API-based cash management platform to collect various fees and charges through over-the-counter services, MTB NEO and other applicable payment channels.

The arrangement is expected to provide DSCC with an integrated mechanism for receiving payments while giving residents multiple channels to pay municipal charges.
