MTB Foundation inaugurates project 'Nobo Neer' in Barishal


Dhaka : As part of MTB Foundation's project
titled 'Climbing for Climate, Building for Communities - A Climate Resi-lience
Initiative of MTB Foundation', MTB Foun-dation recently commemorated World
Environment Day 2026 by inaugurating a project called 'Nobo Neer' - a Climate
Resilient Housing (CRH) initiative in Guthia, Ujirpur, Barishal.
By constructing climate resilient houses under
project 'Nobo Neer', MTB Foundation aims to enhance the adaptive capacity of
vulnerable households by promoting sustainable and resilient housing solutions
designed to withstand local environmental challenges and provide safer, more
durable shelters for families regularly exposed to climate-induced risks.
The initiative exemplifies MTB Foun-dation's
objective to support the attainment of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 11
(Sustain-able Cities and Communities) and 13 (Cli-mate Action).
The inauguration program was attended by Samia
Chowdhury, Chief Executive Officer and Golam Rabbani and Nazmus Sakib,
Associates of MTB Foundation.
