Dhaka: Biman Bangladesh Airlines, US-Bangla Airlines, and NOVOAIR – the country’s three airlines currently in operation – will operate scheduled domestic flights for carrying international passengers only amid the ongoing weeklong strict lockdown.
Earlier, CAAB announced to suspend all domestic flight operations from July 1-7 amid the strict countrywide shutdown.
Due to this, those reaching Dhaka by international flights were not being allowed to travel to destinations like Chattogram, Sylhet, Cox’s Bazar, and others.
Thus, considering the convenience of the international passengers to reach their respective destinations across the country, CAAB later relaxed the restrictions imposed on domestic flights.
However, domestic flight tickets can only be issued to passengers with international air tickets.
Biman likely to resume flights on Sylhet-London route from Oct 4
