Eid-ul-Azha to be celebrated on July 21

Dhaka: Eid-ul-Azha, the second largest religious festival of Muslims, will be celebrated in the country on July 21.

The decision follows a meeting of the National Moon Sighting Committee after reviewing information about the sighting of the Zilhaj moon.

The meeting was held at the office of the Islamic Foundation at Baitul Mukarram today at 7:15 pm, with State Minister for Religious Affairs, Faridul Haque Khan in the chair.

The moon of the holy month of Zilhaj was sighted in the sky of Bangladesh today.

Muslims celebrate the Eid-ul-Azha on the 10th day of Zilhaj.
