Singapore Airlines said it appointed insider JoAnn Tan as its first female chief financial officer to replace Tan Kai Ping who will take over as chief operations officer.
The company’s efforts to restore network connectivity and capacity once international crossings reopened following the epidemic were spearheaded by JoAnn Tan, who is currently the senior vice president of marketing strategy, the airlines claimed.
Meanwhile, CFO Ping is renowned for her participation in the proposed merger of Air India and Vistara as well as for helping to increase the carrier’s financial resiliency.
He will now be in charge of the Cabin Crew, Customer Services and Operations, Engineering, and Flight Operations sections of Singapore Airlines.
