Dhaka: US-Bangla Airlines on November 11 announced to operate direct flights to Muscat from Sylhet from November 17 onwards marking the first effort by any Bangladeshi airline to operate direct flights on the said route.
The largest private carrier of Bangladesh with 13 aircraft in its fleet, US-Bangla Airlines will operate two flights a week on the Sylhet-Muscat-Sylhet route, the airlines said in a release.
The flight will leave from Sylhet MAG Osmani International Airport at 7:30 pm every Tuesday and Friday, and will land in Muscat at 10:30 pm local time.
The return flight from Muscat will fly every Tuesday and Friday at 11:30pm local time and will land in Sylhet at 7:15am the next day.
At present, US-Bangla Airlines is operating two weekly flights—on Monday and Thursday—to Muscat from Dhaka, and two weekly flights—on Wednesday and Sunday—from Chattogram to the same destination.
The US-Bangla flight leaves Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka for Muscat at 10:00 pm on Monday and Thursday and lands at Muscat at 1:00 am local time on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Apart from operating flights to all seven domestic routes, the airline is currently operating flights to Guangzhou, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Doha, Kolkata and Chennai.
