Bangkok : Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) recently held a welcoming ceremony for its Airbus A321neo aircraft at Suvarnabhumi Airport, following its delivery flight from the Airbus Delivery Center in Hamburg, Germany.
The ceremony was attended by Lavaron Sangsnit, THAI's Chairman of the Board, along with Chansin Treenuchagron, THAI's Board member, Chai Eamsiri, THAI's Chief Executive Officer, THAI's executive management, and distinguished guests.
This aircraft is the first of a total of 32 A321neo aircraft to be delivered to THAI by Airbus, and is among the first ten aircraft that will enter into service under operating lease agreements with AerCap, one of the world's leading aircraft lessors.
The aircraft accommodates a total of 175 seats, comprising 16 Business Class seats (Royal Silk Class) and 159 Economy Class seats.
The Airbus A321neo is planned to operate regional routes across the Asia-Pacific network, with its inaugural commercial flight scheduled for January 22, 2026, operating the Bangkok-Singapore route.
