CMTF holds training session, exchange meeting in Chattogram

Dhaka: The Chattogram Medical Travel Forum (CMTF) organized a special training session and exchange meeting on May 14 to foster the country's emerging medical tourism sector and develop skilled manpower for it.
Held at the conference hall of a city hotel in Chattogram, the event was themed "Future Opportunities in Health Travel Sector." The gathering brought together prominent stakeholders from the health and travel industries across the port city.
Chaired by CMTF President Md. Abdul Alim Raju, the event featured internationally renowned health travel personality and MediTravel CEO Shabbir Ahmed Tamim as the keynote speaker.
In his address, Tamim emphasized strengthening Bangladesh's position in the international medical tourism arena. He also provided career-oriented training and guidance for those seeking to build a future in the sector.
Speakers offered a detailed overview of current global demand and future prospects for health-based tourism while also discussing CMTF's organizational activities and the potential for new employment generation through the sector in Bangladesh.
The event was attended by TOAB Director Didarul Absar, Journalist Hamidul Islam Shamim, and Founder of Remus Flyers Reshma Sultana. Senior forum leaders, including Nurul Anwar Jibon, Alif Rahman, Iqbal Hossain, Omar Sharif, Alauddin Manik, Md. Ziaul Haque, and Mahin Robayet, were also present alongside other prominent figures from Chattogram's health and travel sectors.
Speakers concluded that coordinated public-private initiatives could significantly advance medical tourism not only in Chattogram but also throughout Bangladesh, unlocking new economic opportunities and positioning the country more competitively on the global health travel map.
