Gulf Air restores 75pc of global network

Dhaka: Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, has restored 75 percent of its global route network as the airline continues its phased return to full operations following recent disruptions.
The carrier announced
that flights are now operating to 40 destinations across 24 countries, covering
key markets in the Middle East, Europe, the Indian Subcontinent, and Africa.
Gulf Air said, flight
frequencies are steadily increasing, with additional services being added daily
as part of a structured recovery plan aimed at fully restoring operations by
June 1, 2026.
Chief Executive Officer
Martin Gauss praised the airline’s workforce for maintaining service continuity
during the recovery period.
“The way our people have
delivered continuity for our customers during this period has been nothing
short of remarkable. With 75 percent of our network now restored and more
routes returning each day, Gulf Air is on its way to restoring full
operations,” Gauss said.
He added that the airline
remains committed to providing reliable services, seamless connectivity through
Bahrain, and an elevated travel experience for passengers.
To support travelers
affected by recent disruptions, Gulf Air announced a one-time complimentary
date change for customers holding confirmed bookings until June 30, 2026.
Rebooking will be permitted for travel up to March 31, 2027.
The airline has also
extended FalconFlyer loyalty program benefits, including expiring miles,
loyalty points, and tier statuses that were due to expire between March and May
2026. These will now remain valid until June 30, 2026.
