Air Astra ramps up daily flights as peak travel season nears

Dhaka: Air Astra has announced that it will increase daily flight operations to 18 from November 1, strengthening domestic connectivity and offering passengers greater flexibility as the country heads into its peak travel season.
Cox's Bazar will see the biggest boost, with the airline set to operate nine daily flights to the popular beach destination. The expanded schedule is expected to offer tourists and families more options for choosing convenient departure times.
Besides Cox’s Bazar, Air Astra will operate three daily flights each to Chattogram, Saidpur, and Sylhet, bringing the total to 18 flights across its four domestic destinations.
The airline described the revised schedule as part of its continued effort to improve passenger convenience, support domestic tourism, and make air travel more accessible to travelers across Bangladesh.
The expansion comes as three brand-new ATR 72-600 aircraft, equipped with an updated avionics suite, enhanced air management systems, and safety-related features, are now in regular service.
Air Astra said the addition of the new aircraft represents another step in its fleet development and supports its focus on operational reliability, passenger comfort, and safety.
Meanwhile, the carrier is offering a 10% discount on airfares to passengers who book through its official website or mobile app. The offer aims to encourage travelers to use the airline's digital booking channels.
Air Astra encouraged passengers to plan their trips early and select their preferred flight times. Schedules and tickets are available on the airline's website and mobile app.
