Biman’s Dammam flights to resume November 7, Riyadh remains suspended

Dhaka: Biman Bangladesh Airlines will resume regular Dhaka–Dammam–Dhaka flights from November 7, while its Riyadh services remain suspended after recent attacks on Saudi Arabian airports.
A release from the airline said, until further notice, the Dammam flights will operate daily during daylight hours, while the Dhaka-Riyadh-Dhaka route will remain suspended.
The national carrier cited passenger safety and the overall security situation as the reasons for the adjustments to its Saudi Arabia schedule.
Passengers have been requested to contact the nearest Biman Sales Centre for ticketing and other travel-related information.
Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabian airports since early October have severely disrupted flight operations in the kingdom. An October 10 attack on Riyadh's King Khalid International Airport killed 12 people and injured 309.
A later incident at Dammam's King Fahd International Airport killed two people and injured eight. The Houthis also claimed drone strikes on the Dammam airport on November 2, though Saudi Arabia has not confirmed it.
Riyadh's airport has partially reopened for domestic flights and some international services by national carriers. Dammam's airport remains open, though delays and cancellations have been reported.
