SalamAir raises Sylhet–Muscat flights to five per week

Dhaka: Omani low-cost carrier SalamAir has increased the frequency of its Sylhet–Muscat flights from three to five per week, citing growing travel demand and an encouraging response from passengers.
The airline launched the route with three weekly flights on September 1. The service now runs every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday, with the added flights starting October 28.
SalamAir said the decision reflects the strong support and trust of passengers from Sylhet. The added frequency is expected to improve travel options and create faster, more reliable connections to key destinations across the Middle East and Europe.
The budget carrier recently joined Amadeus and Sabre, two of the world's leading global distribution systems (GDS). The move allows IATA-accredited travel agencies worldwide to book its tickets more easily.
Meanwhile, SalamAir is also working with its codeshare partners to offer more onward options for travelers from the Sylhet region to various Middle Eastern and European destinations.
The airline aims to operate the route seven days a week in the near future. Its management said it is working to achieve that goal.
