Dhaka: The chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) Air Vice Marshal Md. Mostafa Mahmood Siddiq has directed authorities to improve service standards and expedite procedures for Hajj pilgrims during visits to key facilities in Dhaka.
He inspected the Hajj camp and Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on April 12 to review overall preparations for the upcoming pilgrimage.
During the visit, he assessed passenger readiness, ongoing operations, and service delivery and spoke with staff at various counters. He instructed all concerned agencies to ensure better passenger services, with a particular focus on speeding up processes and making them more efficient for pilgrims.
At the airport, the CAAB chairman closely reviewed Hajj management arrangements, including passenger handling, boarding procedures, security measures, baggage handling, and ground operations. He also held discussions with officials on existing service standards, potential challenges, and immediate solutions.
Emphasizing a smooth and hassle-free journey for pilgrims, he called for improved coordination among agencies, better time management, and enhanced service quality.
He expressed hope that with coordinated efforts, this year’s Hajj operations would be conducted in an orderly and seamless manner.
