Dhaka: Emirates is set to restore flights to 16 previously suspended destinations, effective May 1, 2026, as part of an interim schedule filed through May 15.
The resumptions span multiple regions, covering cities such as
- Bogota, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, and Orlando in the Americas
- Adelaide and Brisbane in Oceania
- Osaka Kansai and Phnom Penh in Asia
- Algiers, Antananarivo, Bahrain, Beirut, Kuwait City, Muscat, and St. Petersburg across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East
Currently, the Dubai-based carrier operates around 77% of its previously planned schedule, based on a comparison between February 1 and April 26 schedules.
However, four routes remain suspended. Flights to Baghdad, Basra, and Tehran are still on hold, as is the Male–Colombo sector, though Colombo continues to receive three daily flights as a standalone destination.
Emirates has introduced widespread frequency increases and aircraft upgrades across multiple regions during the interim period. Several key long-haul routes are receiving capacity boosts through higher weekly frequencies or upgauges to the Airbus A380.
The airline has noted that further changes remain highly possible.
