Air Arabia CEO honored at Airline Strategy Awards


Sharjah
: Air Arabia Group Chief Executive Officer Adel Al Ali has received the
Executive Leadership for Africa and the Middle East award at the Airline
Strategy Awards 2026.
The
award was presented in London during the 22nd edition of the Airline Strategy
Awards, organized by FlightGlobal in partnership with executive search firm
Korn Ferry.
Al
Ali was recognized for leading Air Arabia since its launch in 2003 and
pioneering the low-cost airline model in the Middle East.
Under
his leadership, the airline has grown into the region's largest budget carrier,
operating from hubs in the United Arab Emirates, Morocco, Egypt, and Pakistan
while serving more than 200 destinations across over 50 countries.
The
recognition follows a record year for Air Arabia. In 2025, the airline reported
its highest-ever financial performance, posting a net profit of AED 1.8 billion
and revenue of AED 7.78 billion.
The
carrier also expanded its network by nearly 30 routes during the year and
continued fleet growth with an existing order for 120 Airbus A320 family
aircraft.
