Dhaka-bound Qatar Airways flight makes emergency landing at Hyderabad; passenger dies

Dhaka: A Qatar Airways flight QR 642 on its way to Dhaka from Doha made an emergency landing in Hyderabad, India, on Wednesday. At 3:00 am, the pilot of the aircraft made contact with the Air Traffic Control at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport for an emergency landing, as a female passenger on board developed serious health complications. Responding to the request, the ATC gave clearance for the emergency landing, and the flight landed at 3:24 am.

Emergency medical arrangements were kept on standby, and the passenger was rushed to the airport's medical center, where she was declared dead on arrival. The flight later took off at 3:42 am, and as per Flightradar24 data, landed at Dhaka (DAC) at 5:56 am.
