Dhaka: Thai Airways International won the Gold trophy in the Best Regional Airline 2024 category at the ShareTrip–Monitor Airline of the Year Awards, held at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka on July 5.
The honor recognized the airline’s strong performance, customer satisfaction, and connectivity between Bangladesh and Southeast Asia. Thai Airways operates direct flights between Dhaka and Bangkok, offering onward access to over 60 destinations across Asia, Australia, and the Middle East. Thai’s strong performance in both premium and economy travel segments, and its role as a key connector for business, leisure, and medical travelers, helped secure its top position in this category.
SriLankan Airlines earned the Silver, while Malaysia Airlines received the Bronze—rounding out a highly competitive category of regional carriers that play a crucial role in connecting Bangladesh to its neighboring economic and travel hubs.
