Torrential rain disrupts flight schedules in Mumbai

Dhaka: Flight operations at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport have been disrupted as heavy monsoon rains continue to batter the city.
Several airlines have issued travel advisories, urging passengers to plan ahead due to widespread waterlogging and traffic congestion across Mumbai.
Around 21 flights were delayed, 2 were cancelled and over 40 ran behind schedule, according to Ixigo.
As heavy rain and strong winds continue to pound Mumbai and its adjoining areas, waterlogging dots the city, resulting in widespread disruption in daily lives.
Low-lying areas across the city were inundated, bringing traffic movement to a standstill. Local train services are also affected, further inconveniencing commuters across Mumbai and adjoining districts, as reported by agency.
Several airlines including IndiGo, SpiceJet, Akasa Air and Air India issued travel advisories to those passengers who are travelling to or from Mumbai.
