Biman suspends Dhaka-Riyadh flights on October 11, 12

Dhaka: Biman Bangladesh Airlines has suspended its Dhaka-Riyadh-Dhaka services for October 11 and 12, according to an official statement from the national airline.
The cancellations came as authorities at King Khalid International Airport (RUH) extended closure of the airport until 9:00 pm UTC on October 11, equivalent to 3:00 am Bangladesh Standard Time on October 12.
Biman said the outbound flight BG339 and return flight BG340 on the Dhaka-Riyadh-Dhaka route were cancelled as there was no visible progress toward resuming operations at the Saudi capital’s main airport.
The airline will announce further updates on the flights and revised schedules at 12:00 pm on October 12, the statement read.
Biman expressed regret over the inconvenience caused to passengers and sought their understanding and cooperation.
