Govt appoints new MD, DMD of Biman on contract

Dhaka: The government has appointed Kaizer Sohel Ahmed as Managing Director (MD) and Syed Moin Uddin Ahmed as Deputy Managing Director (DMD) of Biman Bangladesh Airlines Limited on a contractual basis for a period of one year.

According to two separate notifications issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Tuesday, April 7, the appointments will take effect from their respective joining dates.

As per the terms of the appointments, the newly appointed MD and DMD will have to relinquish any engagement in other professions, businesses, or employment with government, semi-government, or private organizations before assuming their roles.

The notifications also stated that other conditions of their employment will be determined through a formal contract.

The orders were issued in the public interest by order of the President.
