Dhaka: Members of the Centre for Travel & Tourism Development (CTTD) have felicitated Nasser Rahman on his election as a member of the National Parliament.
The felicitation ceremony was attended by Kazi Wahidul Alam, President of CTTD, along with founding members Shahid Hamid, Syed Golam Qadir, Toufiq Rahman, Rubina Hussain, Roman Ahmed, Ishtiaq Uddin Ahmed, and Harunur Rashid, among others.
Speaking on the occasion, Kazi Wahidul Alam extended his heartfelt congratulations to Rahman and expressed optimism that, as a representative with deep roots in the travel, tourism, and hospitality industry, he would play a pivotal role in advancing the sector—an area that still requires significant policy attention and structured development in Bangladesh.
Shahid Hamid, a veteran hospitality professional, lauded Rahman’s achievements as a pioneering entrepreneur, particularly highlighting his contributions to elevating standards in the country’s resort hospitality segment. He expressed confidence that Rahman would effectively represent the interests of the industry in Parliament and help shape a progressive and supportive national policy framework for tourism.
In his remarks, Nasser Rahman thanked the members of CTTD for their warm reception and assured them of his commitment to the sector. He stated that he would actively raise key issues and shortcomings in the development of Bangladesh’s travel and tourism industry in Parliament and work towards establishing a sustainable and forward-looking policy environment.
A visionary entrepreneur, Rahman has been widely recognized for redefining luxury resort hospitality in Bangladesh through his flagship property, DuSai Resort & Spa in Moulvibazar. He was recently named “Best Hotel Entrepreneur” in the country by The Bangladesh Monitor through a nationwide opinion poll.
