Star Alliance to open dedicated lounge at Incheon Airport

Dhaka : Star Alliance will open a dedicated passenger lounge at Incheon International Airport in the fourth quarter of 2026, replacing an existing Asiana Airlines facility as the Korean carrier prepares to leave the alliance.

The new lounge will be created from Asiana Airlines' Business Lounge (West) in Terminal 1. The transition is part of an agreement between Star Alliance and Incheon International Airport Corporation aimed at maintaining premium lounge access for eligible passengers after Asiana exits Star Alliance on December 16, 2026, following its integration with Korean Air.

The facility will serve eligible travelers flying with 14 Star Alliance member airlines operating at Incheon, with those carriers collectively connecting the airport to 29 destinations worldwide.

The move comes as Incheon continues to strengthen its role as a major international hub. The airport ranked first globally for international passenger traffic during the first half of 2026, according to the alliance.

The Incheon facility will become Star Alliance's seventh dedicated lounge worldwide, joining locations in Paris, Los Angeles and Guangzhou.
