Three Boeing 747s get mustaches for one noble cause

Dhaka: American cargo airline Atlas Air has given three of its Boeing 747 freighters an unusual makeover, painting giant mustaches across their noses to mark Movember.
Movember is a global campaign that uses the mustache as a symbol to spark conversations around men's health, with particular focus on mental health, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer.
The carrier said three of its 747s will carry the mustache design as they fly routes around the world throughout the campaign. One of the aircraft, a Boeing 747-400F registered N453PA, was photographed sporting the new look in Frankfurt on October 11.
Alongside the livery, Atlas Air has been supporting the Movember Foundation this year through fundraising efforts and other initiatives tied to men's health awareness.
Announcing the design on social media, Atlas Air asked followers to look out for the painted jets and encouraged people who spot one to share photos or videos, tagging the airline with the hashtags #AtlasxMovember and #SpotTheStache.
The post was accompanied by a timelapse video showing the mustache being painted onto one of the freighters' radomes, documenting the transformation from a blank nose cone to the finished design.
The campaign adds to a growing list of cause-related liveries airlines have rolled out in recent years, using their aircraft as moving billboards to draw attention to health and social causes during awareness months.
