Turkish Airlines to lease two 777-300ERSF freighters from AerCap

Dhaka: Turkish Airlines has signed lease agreements with AerCap for two Boeing 777-300ERSF converted freighters, with deliveries scheduled between March and September 2027, according to an announcement from the lessor on October 29.
Both jets will be converted at the Etihad Engineering MRO hub in Abu Dhabi. AerCap said the facility enables it to serve customers efficiently across the wider Europe, Middle East, and Africa region.
AerCap Chief Commercial Officer Peter Anderson said the freighters would give Turkish Airlines additional cargo capacity along with the strong performance capabilities of the 777-300ERSF, describing the carrier as a long-standing partner.
He added that the conversion facility in Abu Dhabi offers an important regional platform, allowing the aircraft to be converted in the Middle East before delivery. He thanked Turkish Airlines and Etihad Engineering for their continued support of the program.
AerCap delivered its first 777-300ERSF to launch customer Kalitta Air in September 2025. Since then, the lessor has delivered aircraft to Fly Meta and signed lease agreements with Ethiopian Airlines and China Southern Group.
