Turkish Airlines posts strong traffic results in September


Dhaka: Turkish Airlines carried 9 million passengers in September 2026, according to the carrier's latest traffic results. The figures include data from both the main brand and its low-cost subsidiary AJet.
The international load factor stood at 86.6%, while the domestic load factor was 88.2% during the month.
Capacity, measured in available seat kilometers (ASK), rose 2.5% year-on-year to 24.6 billion, up from 24 billion in September 2025.
Cargo and mail volume climbed 13% to 205.7 thousand tons from a year earlier.
For the January-September period, the airline carried 73 million passengers, up 5.2% from the same period of 2025. The total load factor was 85%, with international and domestic load factors at 84.8% and 86.7%, respectively.
Capacity increased 4.4% to 212.2 billion ASK over the nine months, compared to 203.3 billion a year earlier.
Cargo and mail carried during the period grew 10.6% to 1.8 million tons, from 1.6 million tons in the same period last year.
By the end of September, the Istanbul-based airline's fleet comprised 567 aircraft.
