Turkish Technic signs multiple deals at MRO Europe 2026

Dhaka: Turkish Technic, the maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) arm of Turkish Airlines, has agreed on multiple partnerships and service contracts during MRO Europe 2026, held last week in Amsterdam.
The company agreed on the terms of a five-year Licensed Repair Center Agreement with Acron Aviation. The deal covers 2100 Series flight data recorder (FDR) and cockpit voice recorder (CVR) components.
Turkish Technic said the agreement will expand its in-house repair capabilities and improve operational efficiency. It also expects faster turnaround times for these flight safety-critical components.
The MRO provider also reached terms on a seven-year Support and Services Agreement with Safran Landing Systems, with an option to extend it for five more years. The proposed deal covers landing gear, hydraulics, and avionics equipment for the Airbus A320, A330, A340, and A350 family aircraft.
Under the prospective collaboration, Turkish Technic will expand its landing gear maintenance capabilities through Safran's integrated service package. The package includes spare parts supply, technical assistance, and access to maintenance documents for the covered aircraft programs.
In another deal, Turkish Technic signed an agreement with European leisure carrier TUI. The contract covers the redelivery and painting of six Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
The company had a strong presence at the three-day event, which ran from October 27 to 29. It hosted a booth, numbered 1-130, where its team met industry peers and discussed MRO needs with visitors.
Several senior executives also spoke at the event's conference sessions. Senior Vice President of Human Resources Kenan Şahan discussed the evolving skill set in aviation maintenance, highlighting digital literacy, regulatory knowledge, and soft skills. He also spoke about how MROs can attract and retain young talent.
Senior Vice President of Strategic Projects Ömer Faruk Gök talked about the growing role of dual-use MRO in Europe. He said commercial aviation expertise and digital tools can support military readiness while opening new opportunities for MRO providers.
Senior Vice President of Component Services Ismail Kiyar addressed supply chain resilience. He said changing trade dynamics are pushing a shift toward regionalized stockpiling, technical sovereignty, and re-shoring of critical repairs.
Quality Manager Demet Uysal spoke on the value of safety management systems in MRO operations. Materials and Tooling Planning Manager Mehmet Koral joined a panel on career pathways for the next generation of aviation maintenance workers on the final day.
MRO Europe is an annual exhibition and conference for the aviation maintenance industry. It brings together airlines, MRO providers, suppliers, and other industry stakeholders to discuss business opportunities and key sector trends.
