EBL appoints Osman Faiz as AMD

Dhaka : Eastern Bank PLC (EBL) has appointed Osman Ershad Faiz as its Additional Managing Director (AMD). Prior to joining EBL, he was the Co-Founder of Asia FiiT, an international banking and FinTech consultancy headquartered in Singapore.

In his career spanning 30 years, Osman Faiz worked with major global financial institutions in strategy technology, operations, digital transformation, core banking, and Fintech.

He served as Chief Information and Operating Officer (CIOO) of AMTD Digital, Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Standard Chartered Bank Singapore; Managing Director and Regional Chief Information Officer (CIO), Eastern Hemisphere.

Besides, Osman Faiz has the experience in Wholesale Banking for Standard Chartered Bank and as Head of Operations for Permata Bank in Indonesia. He also served as Director of the Singapore Clearing House Association.

Osman Faiz received many international recognitions during his career. He is the Fellow of the Institute of Banking and Finance (IBF) Singapore since 2015.

Osman Faiz began his career as a management trainee with American Express Bangladesh in 1993. He was also the COO of Standard Chartered Bank Bangladesh.
