Singapore interested in airport passenger information, revenue management systems

Dhaka: Singapore-based companies have expressed interest in supporting the modernization of Bangladesh’s airport services through the development of an Advanced Passenger Information System (APIS) and an Aeronautical Revenue Management System.
The matter was discussed during a courtesy meeting between Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Afrozza Khanam and Singapore’s Ambassador to Bangladesh Derek Loh Eu-Tse at the Secretariat on May 18, said a release from the ministry.
During the meeting, both sides emphasized strengthening bilateral cooperation between Bangladesh and Singapore, particularly in the aviation and tourism sectors.
Ambassador Derek Loh Eu-Tse highlighted the interest of Singapore-based firms Crimson and Enterprise in contributing to the modernization of Bangladesh’s airport operations. The proposed cooperation includes the introduction of APIS to enhance passenger data management and security, as well as an Aeronautical Revenue Management System aimed at improving airport revenue administration and operational efficiency.
Minister Afrozza Khanam expressed Bangladesh’s interest in working jointly with Singapore to further develop the country’s aviation sector. Discussions were also held on expanding cooperation in tourism development under Public-Private Partnership (PPP) initiatives.
