EBL hosts seminar at IUB to enhance financial literacy among students

Dhaka : Eastern Bank PLC (EBL) organized an exclusive seminar titled "EBL Campus Connect: Inspiring New Genera-tion in Banking" at Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB), on November 10.  The initiative followed the objective of enhancing financial literacy and inspiring students toward a modern, digital banking future.

The event brought together university students, academicians, and banking professionals to explore how young minds can contribute to innovative financial solutions and drive digital transformation in Bangladesh's banking sector.

The seminar commenced with a welcome speech by Md Aminul Islam, Senior Lecturer and Club Coordinator of the IUB E-Business Club.

Sarmin Atik, Executive Vice President and Head of Liability and Wealth Management at EBL, also addressed the session.

M Khorshed Anowar, Deputy Managing Director and Head of Retail and SME Banking at EBL, attended the event as the Special Guest.

The program also featured audiovisual presentations on EBL Corporate and Student Banking, showcasing the bank's digital innovations and tailored services for students.

Professor Daniel W Lund, Pro-Vice Chancellor of IUB, delivered the closing remarks.

EBL introduced "E-volve 2.0", an innovative financial literacy platform designed specifically for students at the seminar.
