Dhaka: From November 20, China has been allowing foreign visitors to complete their arrival information online before traveling, according to a notice issued to travel partners.

Travelers can submit the required details through the National Immigration Administration’s official website, the Government Service Platform, the “NIA 12367” app, or by scanning a QR code. Those who do not fill out the form in advance can do so upon arrival using QR codes or self-service machines at immigration checkpoints.

Seven categories of foreigners are exempt from completing the Arrival Card, including holders of China’s Foreign Permanent Resident ID, non-Chinese holders of Hong Kong/Macau travel permits, group visa travelers, transit passengers staying under 24 hours, same-cruise passengers, fast-lane entrants, and foreign crew members.

Travel agencies have been asked to inform passengers to ensure smooth entry procedures.
