Crowne Plaza Dhaka Airport unveils 10-day-long Awadhi food festival
Dhaka: Crowne Plaza Dhaka Airport has launched a 10-day-long Awadhi food festival, "Dastarkhwan-e-Awadh," celebrating the cuisine, culture, and heritage of the Awadh region.
Inspired by the royal kitchens of Awadh, the celebration brings a curated selection of traditional dishes. The menu features Daulat Ki Chaat, Galouti Kebab, Kakori Kebab, Dum Ki Biryani, Baghaar-e-Baingan, Shahi Tukda, and Badam Ka Halwa, alongside other Awadhi-inspired delicacies.
Guests can also enjoy live performances at a dedicated Qawwali Corner, where soulful music complements the Awadhi-inspired ambience.
Speaking about the festival, Ashwani Nayar, Area General Manager of IHG Southwest Asia and Cluster General Manager of Crowne Plaza Dhaka Airport and InterContinental Dhaka Airport, said the hotel has carefully selected traditional dishes to give guests a memorable taste of the celebrated cuisine.
"With live Qawwali performances, special dining offers, and exciting airline partnerships, we look forward to creating a memorable experience for our guests," he added.
The 10-day-long "Dastarkhwan-e-Awadh" festival began on October 8 and will be served as a buffet dinner until October 17 at the property’s Mosaic restaurant. The offering has been priced at BDT 8,999 net per person.
Meghna Bank is the exclusive banking partner of the festival. Guests can avail special dining privileges on selected cards, subject to applicable card eligibility and the respective banks' terms and conditions.
Under the offers, a Dine 5, Pay 1 offer is available with Meghna Bank and NRB Bank cards, while a Dine 4, Pay 1 offer can be availed with Dhaka Bank, NCC Bank, City Bank, and Pubali Bank cards.
Additionally, a Dine 3, Pay 1 offer is available with City Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, and BRAC Bank cards. The Dine 2, Pay 1 offer can be availed with Bank Asia, Community Bank, Eastern Bank, Jamuna Bank, Meghna Bank, Midland Bank, Mutual Trust Bank, Pubali Bank, Prime Bank, and Shimanto Bank cards.
US-Bangla Airlines is the airline partner of the festival. As part of the promotional campaign, the private carrier is providing two couple tickets for the Dhaka-Cox's Bazar-Dhaka and Dhaka-Sylhet-Dhaka routes.
