MTB shareholders approve 12pc stock dividend at AGM


Dhaka: Shareholders of
Mutual Trust Bank PLC (MTB) have approved a 12 percent stock dividend for the
financial year ended December 31, 2025, at the bank's 27th Annual
General Meeting (AGM).
The AGM was held
virtually on July 16 through a digital platform and was chaired by MTB Director
Md Abdul Malek.
Shareholders endorsed the
proposed stock dividend as part of the meeting's agenda.
The virtual AGM was
attended by directors Khwaja Nargis Hossain and Daniel De Lange, representing
Norfund, alongside Independent Directors Dr. Mohammad Tareque, Chairman of the
Board Audit Committee, Shib Narayan Kairy, and Zareen Mahmud Hosein.
Also present were
Managing Director and CEO Syed Mahbubur Rahman, Deputy Managing Director and
Company Secretary Rais Uddin Ahmad, senior management officials, and a large
number of shareholders.
The AGM reviewed the
bank's performance for the 2025 financial year before approving the dividend
proposal. The stock dividend will be distributed to eligible shareholders in
accordance with regulatory requirements and the bank's approved schedule.
