Prime Bank wins Euromoney's best ESG bank award for fourth consecutive year

The award recognizes financial institutions that
demonstrate strong performance in environmental, social, and governance (ESG)
practices, including sustainable finance, responsible governance, social
impact, and the integration of ESG principles into business operations.
According to the bank, the recognition reflects its
continued efforts to strengthen ESG governance, expand green financing, and
support Bangladesh's transition toward a more sustainable and climate-resilient
economy.
Prime Bank said it has continued to finance renewable
energy, energy efficiency, environmentally responsible manufacturing, and other
sustainable projects. The bank also highlighted its initiatives to improve
financial inclusion by expanding access to finance for small and medium-sized
enterprises (SMEs), women entrepreneurs, agricultural communities, and
underserved customer groups.
Faisal Rahman, chief executive officer of Prime Bank
PLC, said receiving the award for a fourth consecutive year reflects the bank's
long-term commitment to sustainable finance and responsible banking.
"ESG is integral to how we conduct business,
manage risk and create enduring value for our stakeholders," he said,
adding that the achievement was made possible through the support of the bank's
employees, customers, partners, and other stakeholders.
