State minister marks international cabin crew day mid-flight

Dhaka: Civil Aviation and Tourism State Minister M. Rashiduzzaman Millat marked International Cabin Crew Day on May 31 aboard a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight from Singapore to Dhaka, paying tribute to the flight attendants on duty during the journey.
The state minister personally approached the cabin crew to express his gratitude for their dedication and contributions to the aviation industry. He also took a selfie with them as a gesture of appreciation.
Extending his wishes beyond the flight, Millat conveyed warm greetings to cabin crew members across the industry, acknowledging the vital role they play in keeping passengers safe and comfortable at tens of thousands of feet above the ground.
International Cabin Crew day, observed annually on May 31, recognizes the professionalism and resilience of flight attendants worldwide. The day highlights their critical role not only in passenger comfort but also in ensuring onboard safety during routine and emergency situations.
Cabin crew members undergo rigorous training in emergency evacuation, first aid, firefighting, and crisis management before they ever step onto a commercial aircraft. Many work irregular hours, cross multiple time zones, and spend extended periods away from family, sacrificing personal comfort to keep millions of passengers safe every day.
The observance serves as a global reminder to recognize and appreciate the often-overlooked contributions of these aviation professionals, who remain the last line of safety between passengers and potential onboard emergencies.
