US-Bangla resuming Kathmandu flights from September

Dhaka: US-Bangla Airlines
is set to resume scheduled flights between Dhaka and Kathmandu from September,
according to sources familiar with the development, marking the carrier's
return to the Nepal route after a prolonged suspension.
The private airline is
expected to operate four weekly flights using Boeing 737-800 aircraft,
expanding travel options between Bangladesh and Nepal for both leisure and
business travelers.
The Dhaka-Kathmandu
service was suspended in March 2018 following an accident at Tribhuvan
International Airport, after which the airline halted operations on the route.
Industry sources said,
preparations are underway for the relaunch. The resumption is expected to
strengthen air connectivity between the two neighboring countries, supporting
tourism, business travel, and people-to-people exchanges.
Nepal remains a popular
destination for Bangladeshi tourists, while the route also serves business
travelers and those visiting for religious and leisure purposes.
US-Bangla will soon make an official announcement regarding the flight schedule or ticket sales. The planned relaunch will restore the airline's presence in the Nepal market after more than eight years.
