ICAO-backed aviation security inspectors course concludes at Civil Aviation Academy


Dhaka: An ICAO-capped Aviation Security National Inspectors Course, organized with the support of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), has been successfully completed at the Civil Aviation Academy of Bangladesh.
The seven-working-day training program was conducted by ICAO instructor Mohammad Alamgir and brought together 12 participants from Bangladesh and abroad, read a press release.
According to the organizers, the course aimed to develop skilled and qualified national aviation security inspectors and enhance their professional capabilities in line with international standards for aviation security oversight.
The closing ceremony was attended by Air Commodore Mohammad Asif Iqbal, Member (Security) of the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB), as the chief guest. Congratulating the participants, he urged them to utilize the knowledge and skills gained through the training to strengthen the country's aviation security system.
Prashanta Kumar Chakraborty, Director of the Civil Aviation Academy, also attended the event. He expressed satisfaction over the successful completion of the course and reaffirmed the academy’s commitment to organizing internationally recognized training programs to support human resource development in Bangladesh’s aviation sector.
Officials said the training is expected to play an important role in preparing CAAB’s aviation security inspectors ahead of the upcoming ICAO Security Audit by ensuring they receive the required professional training.
