Dhaka: The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Bangladesh will open a Korea Visa Application Center (KVAC) in Dhaka on September 2 to streamline visa applications and related services, according to media reports.
Following the opening, ordinary visa applications and passport collection will be handled exclusively through the center. However, diplomatic and official visa applications confirmed through diplomatic notes will continue to be processed directly by the embassy.

Applicants seeking ordinary visas will be required to use an online appointment system to submit applications through the center. The Embassy said details of the appointment process, including when bookings will begin, will be announced on August 27.
Meanwhile, notarization and police clearance certificate services will continue to be provided by the Embassy as before.
Further information on the center's opening arrangements, operating hours, application procedures, required documents, and fees will be announced separately.
The Embassy advised prospective applicants to monitor its latest announcements and carefully review the updated requirements before submitting their applications.
